Grade 7:
This is week 13 in term 2. Students should practise twice this week outside of class.
Our goals for this week are to continue learning about the context of the blues through discussion and the video "Going Home". We will complete our performance of "Blues Rock".
During our first class of the week, we will review "Blues Rock" and finish watching "Going Home". During our second class of the week, students will learn about the topics of the blues, and how the blues spread during the war years. I time permits, we will also discuss the instruments of the blues

Homework: Finish perfecting "Blues Rock"

Grade 8: This is week 13 in term 2. Students should practise twice this week outside of class.
Our goals for this week are to finish the choreography of our first OMP" section(s) and begin creating a new monophonic section(s). Students should memorize their parts for each rehearsal/class.
During our second class of the week, students will continue choreography and we will review for a tsst next week which focuses on their understanding of 16th note durations.

Homework: Prepare your monophonic or homophonic pattern from memory and prepare for a test on 16th note durations.
