Grade 7: This is week 8 of term 2; students should have practised at least 16 times outside of class this term.
During the first class of the week, students will be marked on their performance of song #25 in Essential Elements 2000. During performances, students will be working in groups to complete a worksheet on terms/symbols for dynamics and create a sound composition which uses dynamic symbols to describe a real-life event. (eg. train arriving at a station) Songs #30 and 31 should be practised for homework.
During the second class, some student groups will be asked to perform their compositions for the class. Song #31 will be reviewed and students will be expected to apply dynamic levels to the sections of the song to create variety. For homework, students will learn song #45 and apply dynamics as written.
